Herrington Homes is an established builder within multiple communities in the Wilmington area. Work with our community specialists to determine the community that is the right fit for you.
Selecting a House Plan, Colors & Features
Every home begins with a great plan. We have an extensive collection of plans to choose from for each community. Each plan comes with multiple available options. Working with our community specialist, the next step is selecting your home finishes and options. Each community has selections and option packages that are tailored to the homes provided. Once the selections are completed we sign the contract for your new home.
Preconstruction
It’s during this phase that we take care of administrative tasks like ordering surveys and obtaining all permits and approvals necessary to start building. Once this is all complete we will have a preconstruction meeting to review the site plan and confirm your selected options.
Construction
After receiving a building permit from the county in which your home will be built, we will quickly begin the construction of your new home.

Move-in & Warranty
Approximately 1 month prior to closing and move-in, we will schedule two walkthroughs to ensure your home is delivered to our rigorous standards. Following move-in, your home, and any questions/concerns you have, remain in our care for the length of your 1-year complete home and 10-year structural warranty.
